Gala
San Francisco’s Ferry Building’s CUESA Sunday Supper
400 ATTENDEES, 30 TOP CHEFS: 1 UNFORGETTABLE EVENING
Founded in 1994 CUESA mission is to inspire a world that nourishes all people, local economies, and the living earth through education and core values: sustainability, excellence, vision, and community. CUESA brings together the community through their farmers markets at Jack London and The San Francisco Ferry Building.
James Beard Award-winning and Michelin-starred chefs cook in the outdoor kitchen. Once inside, festivities continue with oysters, sparkling wine, and artisan cocktails. Upstairs in the gorgeous Grand Hall, enjoy an
elegant four-course meal with sommelier-paired wines. Guests enjoyed one of six unique menus featuring an entrée carved tableside by a lauded chef and live auction featuring exclusive culinary experiences.
For the 2019 gala, CUESA called upon myself and Jesse Tombs to curate their event and create a unique design to showcase their mission of bringing people together with food. We created a concept which aligned their mission with these core concepts; Better together. Harvesting generosity. Growing community. Sharing magic. Inviting warmth.
This event was a personal favorite; when I moved back to the bay area in 2013 I worked alongside CUESA chef’s in the kitchen in 2014 & 2015 as the event director for Delfina Restaurant Group which then led to producing the event for Paula Le Duc Fine Catering in 2017 with top 50 chefs in the Bay Area. I have always been aligned with CUESA’s and loved the opportunity to give back to an organization that does so much for the bay area.
